Watching cricket here in Hong Kong, on ESPC cricket channel, get adverts at almost every opportunity, inc between overs.
The adverts are aimed at viewers in India, with plenty of products that aren’t in Hong Kong (that I know of) – including a brand of supposedly popular underwear.
If you’ve watched even a little of the coverage, you’ve likely seen the ad where a young couple are in a room, and the guy appears to take scissors to snip himself in the nether regions, alarming his lady. Quite amusing I thought when I saw it the first time during Ashes last summer; but now, I seem to have seen it a zillion times – cricket fans in India must be well sick of it.
